Which would you choose? The cruise sounds so cool but of course, there wouldn't be any rides on it. My daughter gets to choose one of these and doesn't know which one. This is for "Make a Wish" she is so excited! Actually, we've been to Disneyland Park many times.

The cruise is fantastic. They have the kids club where she can enjoy spending time with other children and she can see all her favorite characters. It is also more relaxing and you don't have to deal with the 'rude' people in the parks and the heat. You can have a more relaxing family vacation on the cruise where I feel that will be more memorable. Also, if you go on the cruise maybe you could surprise her with a day or so in Magic Kingdom when you get off the ship if you go through a travel agent.

If you have been to DisneyLand many times then I think a cruise would be more fun. Yes, Walt Disney World is bigger and has more rides, but again, the cruise is less stress.

I know the "Make a Wish" foundation does a wonderful job, no matter where you choose. It will be the most memorable vacation you will ever take regardless of where you choose.

I hope your daughter enjoys her decision.

Have you thought about doing Disney's Sea and Land Package? Disney offers a package deal where you get to spend a few days at the Disney World parks, and then a 3-4 day vacation on one of the Disney Cruise Ships. Check into it at www.disneyworld.com

If this package is not an option, my vote goes for the parks. The Make A Wish foundation is located about 20 minutes from Disney World. I volunteered there once and was so impressed with the folks there and what they do for make a wish children! Also keep in mind that you won't find Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney MGM Studios, Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach in California. So although The Magic Kingdom will be something familiar, you'll both have so much to see and do that will be new to you!

Definitely go to Walt Disney World. She may have been to DisneyLand, but Walt Disney World is very, very different. DisneyLand in California only has two theme parks, Walt Disney World has four, plus two awesome water parks. The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World has many of the same rides as at DisneyLand in California, but there's EPCOT and Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. You won't find any of those rides at the California parks, except for one- Soarin'. The two water parks are awesome, too. You can spend an entire day at each park and each water park. There's also Downtown Disney, and it's way better than the one in California. There's DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park, an AMC 24-Theatre Complex, and a Cirque Du Soleil show. Another thing, there's over 25 different resort options right on property, compared to DisneyLand's three hotels. There's a lot of fun things for your daughter to attend, like princess tea parties, the new Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Downtown Disney, and breakfast, lunch or dinner in Cinderella Castle. There's also a lot of recreation, like horseback riding, boating, mini golfing, carriage rides, fireworks cruises, etc. The rides and shows are so amazing. The fireworks shows and parades at Walt Disney World are different from the ones at DisneyLand, and they're incredible. You're experience at Walt Disney World will also be different and incredible.

Now, the cruise. It's fun, but not even a quarter as fun as Walt Disney World. You're confined to the ship until you dock at a port, and then you're only at the port-of-calls for a few hours. There's not a whole lot to do on the ship either. I'd recommend the cruise if you and your daughter had been to Walt Disney World before, or maybe if it was one of the new 14-night Mediterranean cruises.

But, of course, it's up to your daughter, and her happiness matters most. Go to the Walt Disney World website and the Disney Cruise site and show her all the different things you'll be able to do on each vacation, and then she can decide what she thinks would be most fun. The websites are always being updated and have all the information you could need, pretty much, so she'll know what to expect either at Walt Disney World or on the Disney Cruise.

I hope I could help. Have a great, safe vacation, whatever you choose! Remember, either way, it's Disney, so you can't really go wrong.

Glad to hear you're attending with Make a Wish! They are fantastic. We saw a little girl with Make a wish this summer when we were at Disney. I would say take her on the cruise if that is what her true wish is. Ifyou've already done the Disneyland thing several times - she may want a change. However, have you considered Disney world? The DW is much moreexciting than the Disneyland experience in California!

I would take the trip. Disneyworld is different than Disneyland. They aren't the same. There are more parks to choose from by the way. A kid doesn't want to be on a boring cruise.

Choose the rides over the cruise. Cruises are for parents with the kids doing hardly nothing at all!! When she gets older (and a parent), she will want to be on a boring cruise.

See if they will let you do a land/cruise combination!

I think both would be a great experience. We have been to disney a few times now, and now we are expanding into the cruise line! But if it is your first trip to Disneyworld, there is plenty to do in itself! Just depends on how much time you want to spend at the parks! Either way, do your research so you know what attractions you want to make sure you do not miss!

Do not miss the fireworks!!!

We have been on three Disney Cruises, two week long ones and a four day one.

We have been to the different Disneyworld theme parks literally over one hundred times (we live in Florida), which we suspect is similar to Disneyland.

We have a son who suffers from autism. The people at the theme parks up until three years ago were helpful and accomodating, but apparently a directive came down that basically discriminates against the mentally handicapped since they are not wheelchair bound. We have stopped going to the theme parks and will not set foot in a Disney park because of this.

On the other hand, the people on the Disney Cruise Line were exceedingly understanding and did their best to help us and our son. (That's why we have been back three times!) The people in the Oceaneer's Club need to be made aware of your child's special needs, you are given a pager and you are allowed to be free while your child has the time of her life. The children DID NOT WANT to be away from the Oceaneer's Club, even to have lunch with us. We have three children, two are typical, and when the day started with breakfast, they would hurry us old folks along so they could get on with their fun activities. We 'forced' our kids to tour St. Maarten on our first week long cruise - big mistake - all they talked about was what they missed at the Oceaneer's Club by going with us! On the second week long cruise, my wife and I travelled around the island at a leisurely pace (Feeling guilty that WE were having such a good time) while the trio was in the Oceaneer's Club doing all sorts of things: like making flubber, or how to be a pirate and getting dressed up in costumes, etc. (Do not underestimate the need for your healing at this time and be aware of the separation anxiety that will happen - yours, not hers). The kids even gave a performance on the last night of the cruise in the theater. They are truly made to feel like stars.

Definitely do the cruise. You are but a few in a crowd of many thousands in long lines at the theme park, but your child is one of maybe 2-300 on the cruise and WILL BE MADE TO FEEL SPECIAL, truly something that will make her wish come true.

From very own journey, I went to Disney international florida while i became 7 and became too short for many rollercoasters (plus I hated them on the age). We have been there for 2 weeks with week a million doing disney international and nicely-known studios and week 2 at coco coastline the place we employed jetskis. i comprehend for a actuality there are different issues to do as nicely as rollercoasters and is a huge journey. What I did became my relatives went on a rollercoaster and that i in simple terms walked around the element and waited on the area you get off and then we went on some thing i wanted. I had a large time regardless of no longer likely on rollercoasters. desire this helps and characteristic a sturdy holiday.

We took our 6 and 3 year old on the cruise last summer. It's great but limited activities. If your kid has a choice, go to Disney World. No question it's the ultimate!
