I think it's Joe Torre, who can't win without Don Zimmer.

Dont bring Don Zimmer up as a connection to not winning. He WAS the reason that the Red Sox lost to the Yankees in the one-game playoff in 1978. He refused to pitch Bill Lee against the Yankees for the second half of the season despite being outstanding against the Yankees. Because of a personal grudge, Don Zimmer destroyed an entire season.

As for the most overrated baseball manager, its probably Terry Francona of the Boston Red Sox, sure hes cool but hes an idiot and makes a lot of stupid mistakes.

Joe Torre

Joe Torre is still an effective manager without Don Zimmer - Steinbrenner spent a ton of money on ARod and expected Torre to turn him into a winner.

Hard to think of an overrated manager - just found one - Lou Pinella....

Dusty Baker. At least Joe Torre always has winning seasons and makes the playoffs. Dusty had big time players and had the worst record in the NL.

Joe Torre. But it has nothing to do with Zimmer.

It's the million dollar players he's been having.

Joe Torre definitely. Ya he's won 11 straight titles in a row, but who wouldn't with a 200 million dollar payroll.

It's a toss up between Torre and Baker.

I'm a White Sox fan. Call me a traitor or a turncoat, but I think it's Ozzie. He's a hot dog player turned hot dog manager and please don't say "Look what he done for the Sox in 2005", with the year they had, Jose Yuckumschmuck could have been calling the shots and they still would have won.

Torre does have a lineup he doesnt want. He was given some players, like Pavano who he did not want by Cashman and Steinbrenner. But like his team they are all over rated.
