i have one of these little babies and i absolutely love it!!! it's like 2 tools in one. on one end its shaped like a heavy duty hoe but way better, used for digging up hard ground-easier than a rounded shovel or a pick ax, and the other end looks like a wood ax-this side i use to cut roots if i come across them while digging the ground. I use my mccloud for all things that would or could require my needing a rounded shovel, a flat edged shovel, a pick, a gardening hoe sometimes, or when i need a tool that can deliver some backbone to it without using mine to much. Its an awesome tool to have in the garden shed. definetly.

The first answer is very good, unfortunately she described a Polaski. A McLeod is like a large flat hoe with long fingers sticking up, away from the hoe end. It is used to chop weeds and long grass, then turn the tool over to rake the chopped material away. We used both Polaskis and McLeods when I worked in the forestry.

Photoshop and a graphic tablet! Also manga studio. Even if you dont draw manga, it's great for paneling. Try it out!
