unfortunately if you have a digital box to convert the signal, then yes you do! bbc! Frrr! But tune here every so often, http://www.talk.fusiveweb.co.uk/
I believe these guys are trying to bring us Free Tv! Whist having a chat room! Huh innovations ey! It's not much at the minute, but i'm sure by the time switch over comes along, and you ditch the tv, for the much healthier internet... i'm sure they have it full of tv stuff!hey presto no tv licence! thats unless you possess a vcr, dvd/r... you will still need to pay a small fee toward your radio! That's of course if you possess one!

Peace!

Paul you are wrong. If you dont have a TV you dont need to pay for a license.I havent and i dont.
However on the original question it a moot point surely. If you have an analogue telly that cant recieve any signal,ie there are no analogue signals being transmitted, then i would have thought that the answer is no.But if you connect it to a freeview box that recieves digital signals then the answer can only be yes.
If you can still watch tele programmes you will have to pay.Simple as that.

you have to have digital tv to have any tv. The signals are being changed so no one can get any television channels apart from through a digital box or transmitter, so you will have to pay a tv licence if you want tv at all.

when it switches over if you dont have anymeans of recieving a digital signall eg already in your tv ,cable ,freeview then you wont get any channels at all.you pay your tv licence because the bbc does not use adverts so they dont have sponsers.therefore your tv licence money pays to keep the bbc going.if they had adverts then you would not have to pay for your licence.hope this helps.

Yes.
