o along time ago I saw this movie where a mexican woman becomes a dance partner for a rich white teen of the family she is the maid of. They get into this dance competition and flal in love. Does anyone know this movie. I remember this one part where this girl gets taken by this guy and th e white guy has to get her back. Can you help?

I do remember this one part of the movie where the guy like hurts his ankle trying to get the girl back fater she has gotton kidnapped.

The Forbidden Dance starring Laura Harring and Jeff James - 1990
A princess (Laura Herring) in the Amazon rain forests tries to fight a conglomerate threatening the forests by going to Los Angeles. There she meets a rich kid (Jeff James) who tells her that she must get on tv to succeed with her mission. The two come up with the idea of winning a lambada dance contest that is getting tv attention. Sid Haig also co-stars as a witch doctor who accompanies the princess and provides some humor.
