ok so ya....like I've said....I started it last week and the stupid thing gave me a Yeast Infection! God! it sucks being a girl!!!! So my question is....can I use a supposity with it still inside?! Cuz I'd hate to have to take it out and be less protected....I'm only on the stupid thing until my doc can insert the IUD(Mirena)!!!! UGH!!!!

I have one and I am quoting from the Nuva ring insert that comes with the prescription."The use of spericides or vaginal yeast products will not reduce the contraceptive efficacy of NuvaRing."

Well, I am no doctor. However a friend of mine was using the nuva ring. One of the things the doctor told her was to make sure she didnt use any kind of Douche while she was on it because it may decrease the effectiveness of it. However, there is a product called AZO- YEAST. It is in a little yellow and white bottle and you can get it at CVS or Brooks or any of those drug stores. Its around 10 dollars and its a pill you swallow. In 3-5 days the symptoms of your infection will subside. GoodLuck, hope this helped.

It's common to get a yeast infection starting a new bcp/patch etc. treat the infection, if it happens again next month I would see about changing methods.

You can get a prescription for a pill called difulcan. It is a pill you take one time and it gets rid of yeast infections. Call your dr. Its great!

Take it out & go to the Dr. Try and work up the will power to not have unprotected sex until you are cured....Duh!
