US Robotics have been in the modem business for some time. Keep in mind that baud rate is most likely not your modems fault. If you have a modem made in the last 5 years its probably 56K capable. Line quality and AOL serever availability and distance to the connection point will very that rate even more. If you have a really old modem, then go buy a new one 20$ should do the trick.
