It will be determined by the leaders of the generation. I do believe a generation can change...look at the generation of the 60s and 70s and how much progress was made for women and minority rights as well as education of minorities. I think they were better off in 1977 than now in 2006.

No way we can make a difference. First of all there's too many people in the world and it's just getting worse. Secondly, the world is totally dependent on all of the things that are destroying our environment, i.e. the ozone layer, global warming, etc. and it's too late to change. Thirdly, there's too many people, with too much hate, willing and able to use vilolence, whether they be individuals, gangs, groups like Al-Quida or governments.
