My girlfriend got an Ipod Shuffle for free. Here's how she did it. We signed up for Comcast cable at a Circuit City. They had a promotion where if you buy the modem and sign up at the store you get a $75 gift card and a rebate for the modem plus we got high speed internet for 6 months for $19.99/month (normally $45.99/month) so in the long run we got more than just a free Ipod, I will admit that it took forever to get that gift card and she had to call them but she picked up the shuffle for $69.99 at Circuit City but like I said it was free. I don't know if they still have the same deal going but my point is if you look hard enough or watch those promotions at places like Best Buy, Circuit City, CompUSA, you will find yourself a good deal and nothing beats free!

if ur not particularly fussed about it being apple, u can buy a 20gig sony mp3 player (purple only) from most sony stores, i got one a month ago, cost me £149, a hell of a lot cheaper than apple! apparentlyipods are prone to manufacturing faults, and the warranty aint over grand either. the software that the sony player comes with is so easy to use and you can cover ur player for an extra 2 yrs for £59. not bad i thought? curry's sell them too, not sure on prices though.
