I always wondered about that word too, lol.
So I just looked up the lyrics to answer your question and here they are:

Paul Mauriat's original 1968 version of "Love is Blue" takes me all the way back to Battle Creek, Michigan, when I was just a 5-year-old discovering all kinds of wonderful music. Petula Clark's "Downtown" - I can remember helping Mom in the kitchen from time to time and we would hear this song on the radio. Anything from the first 'Boston' album - I had given up on AM radio 'cause the stations were only playing disco and cheesy pop fluff by the time that album came out - what a breath of fresh air! The Chicago FM rock stations would play every track from that album; at the time, it was a real shot in the arm for all of us kids in school who were into rock music.

It sounds like Bruce to me, but, I not sure and never really looked into it.
