Why does the Geico Gecko embrace Geico now when before he used to be angry when people called him?

I think its a new gecko. The older one used to have a posh accent, this one sounds more middle-class. So the way I figure it is, the idea is that the first one quit, but the new one took over, cuz that was his life's ambition.

I liked the English gecko better than the Aussie. Not that I have anything whatsoever against Aussies. But the original one was so much more dignified.

I wondered about that, too! I'm willing to bet they used strong-arm tactics to get him to change his tune. :)

BTW: That first answerer has been putting that spam on a lot of questions. Someone should report them. Bad deal, spamming yahoo answers. Nothing is sacred anymore!
