When is the next handheld console being release. Should I get a PSP or hang on for the next handheld consoles.

well the PSP is very good machine you have got games like
liberty city stories,
splinter cell,
ridge racer and
loco roco,
but don't underestimate the ds its a surprisingly fun handheld you have got games like
brain training,
mario kart,
new super mario bros and
resident evil ds
but if u can hold on and Ur not desperate for a PSP i suggest waiting because Sony are releasing a new psp. its gonna be smaller, lighter, have a better umd door, camera and 4GB of built in memory.

I have a PSP and as far as I know there are no more new handheld consoles coming out from any companies. They are gonna bring out variations of existing consoles though, like earlier this October they brought out the pink PSP (it looks crap by the way). You would be better off gettin a PSP or DS lite because they are really good and you would be waiting for ages if you hoped to get a newer handheld console. I think the PSP is the best though (not just because i have one - ha ha). Hope that's helpful, whatever you choose to do, have fun.
*By the way the Nintendo WII is not a handheld console. It's 8.5 inches long and you have to plug it into a T.V.

I prefer handhelds, I used to prefer home consoles and I don't why I turned to handheld. This is why the Wii U will be perfect I will be able to play (probably all 1st party Nintendo games) on the big screen, or I can play it like a handheld.( I play my handhelds in my house so the Wii U's limited portability wont be a problem.)

I'll cast my vote for the DS too. Handheld console does not equal PSP! Alternatively, the Gameboy Micro is also kinda sweet.

I would get a psp. I havent herd about upcoming handheld consoles. It may be a while be4 1 comes out.

Get a PSP, I'm not aware of any new handhelds coming along anytime soon.

There are no plans for any new hand-helds and there wont be for awhile. A PSP is the best choice at the moment with Games, Movies, Photo-viewer, Internet, etc

there are runmors of a psp2 getting started sometime next year but in my opinion nintendo have done and always will do the better handheld consoles

Personally I would get a Nintendo DS (lite) , the games are cheaper , you can still go online (Nintendo web browser in coming out soon for £30) and you can still connect via wi-fi with people.

I have Both a DS and psp.
The only way you should buy a psp is if you can hack it, if it has firmware 2.71 or below, you can...but it is still not worth it, get a DS, graphics are nothing without good gameplay...
