On my car the time clock - not the mileometer - is set by pushing a pin or similar through a hole in the dial. This runs the clock fast and you stop pushing when it shows the right time.

Turn off the ignition.
Hold down the button on the instrument cluster.
Whilst holding down the button turn the ignition on again.
After 10 seconds the display will change.
Release the button.
