I'm so good at answering riddles,
i guess the answer is a padlock and a key
The key open the pad lock wen going out or sometimes coming in.
OR
It could be a match stick and a matchbox
When every matchstick is coming out of the box, it kisses the lighter on the matchbox so it could get fire.
