I do not wish to sound as impolite as the fellow above me, however he is correct. There is a giant change in gambling. If you get an electrical first, you'll undergo. If you relatively wish to get an electrical, purchase a low priced however respectable acoustic. Learn your whole chord constructions and chord alterations after which as soon as you understand you will have that down, transfer to electrical. It is way less difficult to play because the frame is smaller, the fretboard is extra obtainable and the strings are extra bendy. The cause I say get an acoustic first is seeing that electrical will appear a lot less difficult when you transfer. However, acoustic is constantly a best guitar. Don't totally discard it when you get an electrical. You can tweak the tone of your amp for your electrical to get a equivalent acoustic sound, however it is not the identical.

Try older songs from the 60's and 70's from artists like Simaon & Garfunkel, John Denver, Bob Dylan, Crosby Nash Stills & Young.

These usually have very nice guitar arrangements. I play them using a 12 string.

I sing in a band with my boyfriend playing guitar, and we do some acoustic sets. "Every Rose Has It's Thorn" by Poison, "Last Kiss" by Pearl Jam (their version anyway), "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King, "Wanted Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi, "Secret of the Bottle" by Jackyl, we do even more songs acoustic, too. E-mail me and tell me the genre you play, and I'll see if I can help you pick out some more songs! Just click on my avatar, and it will have an option to e-mail me (in case you didn't know!)

What style/genre?

I'll assume rock/ folk:

"Heart of Gold", "Old Man"- Neil Young

"Carry On" -CSN&Y

"Blackbird", "Julia", "Mother Nature's Son"- Beatles

"Love Ain't For Keeping", "Bargain", Behind Blue Eyes", "Pinball Wizard"- The Who

"Stairway..."- Zeppelin (of course!)

"Mood for a Day"- Yes

"Horizons"- Genesis

"Mother Goose"- Jethro Tull

Just for starters....
