No details! Wireless? Did you swap while the PC was on?

Is this a wired or wireless set? If wired, is it the factory equipment that came with the PC? If not, you may want to assure that you have the proper drivers installed (either way you may want to start here). You can check by right clicking on my computer and selecting manage, then go to device manager. Check to see if you have any devices with a yellow question mark next to them. If you do then you need to update or load your drivers. If it is wireless, you may just have to reset the connection, there is usually a button on each device that says connect and tells the mouse/keyboard to establish the connection with the wireless usb device.

Well like the first person said we need more details. anyway if you unpluged a mouse (or the same mouse) while the computer was on then you pluged it back in this can basicly reset the settings on the mouse and it wont respond. Let me know if that's what you did, and don't worry it can be fixed

If your computer is not working properly when it is switched on, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.

sometimes that is a result of the drivers are not installed properly. all you have to do is unstall and then reinstall the software that came with your friend's keyboard. and that should fix your friends keyboard troubles...

also it depends on if your friends keyboard is a wireless keyboard or not too...
