I hope you are not Asian.
If you are why do all Asians ask how to get lighter skin?You are Asian you are meant to have slightly tan skin, like black people are meant to have darker skin. If you were meant to have lighter coloured skin then you would have been born that way.
Having said that if you want lighter (would that make it more beautiful skin? Could darker skin not be as beautiful?) You can use Bare Minerals Original Glo Foundation which adds a beautiful shimmer to your skin, if you want it lighter dab on a colour one shade lighter than your skin.
Then there is all the old bullsh*t about lemon juice, glycerine etc I don't know ask Michael Jackson.
If you drink more water that wil make your skin glow naturally and it will look great- changing the colour of your skin will not make it more beautiful.

Try Laboratoire Remède Translucent UV Coat SPF 30 from www.blisslondon.co.uk. It costs £30 per bottle but it's the best foundation ever. Very shimmery and light and doesn't fade. You'll love it and it's definately worth the money

Try using Estee Lauder Idealist, it makes it more radiant, feels smooth and more evenly toned.
Failing that. use a colour-blending foundation such as True colour by Loreal.
