I just watched todays episode and I was so touched by the way the writers are dealing with the death of Benjamin Hendrickson that played Hal Munson. I think that his death is such a tragdy. I am also grateful that they did not just replace him with another actor. I just don't see how anyone could play the part of Hal Munson.

I watched today also. I agree that the writers are doing a good job. I am sure that they have waited until now to bring his tragic death into the story out of respect to Benjamin Hendrickson's family. It was touching to see all of Hal's family and friends remembering him. Hal Munson was much loved in Oakdale and will be so sadly missed, just as Benjamin Hendrickson will be.

I agree but why did they take so long coming up with a way to write him off the show. Hal was a great guy.

I couldnt agree more he was a great actor I just hate that he was sad enough to take his life I had read that he never got over his mothers death

that's true that would be hard to replace the role of hal. he did a great job at it. i miss it today but i'm glad that they did something for him.

I know that was tragic was'nt it the fact that he killed himself. my question is why ? why was he that upset with his life. I pray for his family and his t.v. family that god give them piece in their time of grief.
