I don't know exactly where to post this..... lets say a person has a resume that overstates their title & what they have done. If a prospective employer calls the company, can they verify the claims or is it only the dates & locations of employment they can verify?

by position, does that include title? sorry if that seems dumb...I just saw that someone I know has a resume up online that is WAY overstated & it is really none of my business but still upsets me. I wonder how many poeople do that crap?

Usually it is position, salary, date of employment, and sometimes they ask your former supervisor for recommendation....to see if your performance was good.

If you give them telephone & or postal add, they can verify date & location if they so desire.
