I always found that when I took a real interest in doing the very best I possibly could on a job, the time went faster, I got more done and I felt good about myself and the job I had done each day. My first job was a maid at Camp Curry in Yosemite National Park. It is not a very pleasant job, but I got the days to fo by fast by doing the best I could possibly do.

If one focuses on not liking the job one will not do a good job and it will be a real drag.

If you have to do a certain type of work and you don't like it, do as I have described above as well as looking for or preparing yourself for a better, more likable job and then move on. You will benefit from the good reputation you built by doing a good job.

Good luck

Maybe you are looking at work the wrong way. Some people get paid to play video games all day. Some get paid to hike on trails in national parks, some get paid to play games with elderly people. No matter what you like to do, chances are there is someone out there willing to pay you for it. Figure out how to make money doing something you like and you will NEVER have to work a day in your life.

I think the key is discipline. You must master your mind and body. Don't let those master you. Of course, there are tasks that are less enjoyable than others. If one can learn to sacrifice for the future, one has come a long way in determining how to succeed. Read the story linked below.

its only work if you view it as work.. I used to help people see how they could make their lives less stressful, more fun .. I believed I made a difference for the better intheir lives......... it was FUN and I got paid for it.......... it didnt seem like work..

Believe in what you do, have passion... even the little things make a huge difference......... how hard would it be to lace up nikes if they didnt have that hard end on the lace... that tiny end makes life alot easier *s*.......

Life is about choices. You CHOOSE! Don't buy into determinism that tells you that you cannot like work. Do it, and choose to enjoy it.

Who does like work anyway?

Self discipline..there isn't much more to it.

The consequence of laziness, is a life lacking much of what one may want.
