If your computer has no USB ports, the only way to get them is to buy a PCI card that has USB ports. You can then get a USB hub to expand the amount of ports.

In all honesty, i don't know. I do, however, know it would be much easier just to get a 3- or 4-port hub. They also have PCI cards with usb ports on them, if i remember correctly.
edit: apparently the guy before me beat me to the PCI and i didn't see it at first. There you go.

buy an expansion card ... if you already have a port but it doesnt work then you need at least xpsp1 to have the correct drivers for usb2.0 ... if you already have that and it isnt working go to device manager and uninstall all ur usb and reboot so it reloads the drivers...

You can't, they're part of the motherboard, what you need is a USB HUB, here is one for $19.99.
