I think you mean "Carpel Tunnel" which is, in simple lay terms "not that I'm not, a simple lay person myself" an infliction of the nervous system usually at the wrist. Many nervous system sensory lines or receptors, " let's imagine them as rubber garden hoses and the water tap as the ends of our fingers, every time we touch something, the tap turns on, and the water flows, these are the feelings sent back to the brain or the old water bucket" These sensory lines run through a "conduit or chase" for lack of better terminology at the wrist, it is designed as a sheath to protect these water hoses. Over time there may be a build up of a lubricating substance "probably uric acid that solidifies into a plak just like cholestral in the arteries" This plak build up with-in the sheath or conduit causes a restriction of water flow "the feelings from finger tips". The restriction sort of causes the water to flow even when the taps aren't turned on, and this flow bubbles like it's got air in it, "a lot like bending the hose to restrict flow of water" These bubbles, send a message to the brain "the lawn of our feelings" that tells our brain that our hands are tingling like they "fell to sleep" They say repetitive actions "doing the same thing day in and day out" cause the restriction and build up of plak. Doctors can do an electrical continuity test to determine the extent of the infliction and may operate, to correct it ,if need be! Some what of relief is found in avoiding repetetive situations for a while, this affliction may be further bothered with the seasons, maybe something to do with blood viscosity, also during sleep some people tend to place hands into a fetal position and this may cause undo pressure at and upon the wrists of an adult, hope this helps a bit, I'm no Doctor...

If you are talking about carpel tunnel syndrome, then it is when a tendon that runs through your carpal tunnel (a small hole in the wrist bone) swells. It can cause numbness, tingling, and pain in the hands and fingers.
I would think that tarpel tunnel is when you put too much tarp in a tunnel.

it's called Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
and it is an effect of repetitive motion or vibrations to your hands or wrist. It is common in folks who sit at a computer all day and do a lot of typing, while holding their hands in a poor ergonomic position. The strain put on your carpal tendons can cause them to swell, making your fingers, hand and wrist very numb.

I think you mean Carpel Tunnel syndrome. It is pain when moving wrist/hand due to the nerve that passes through the wrist to the hand being compressed. Read about it at this link on NIH's website. http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/carpal_tunnel/detail_carpal_tunnel.htm#68963049

It's carpel tunnel. It happens mostly to people who do repetitive motions with their hands over many years (such as typists, etc.) Many times it requires surgery to fix as it is extremely painful.
