I'm not a doctor yet, but I'd take an antihistamine (Benadryl or Claritin) for the watery eyes, runny nose, and possibly sneezing. Benadryl can make you tired, but Claritin is non-drowsy. If you are taking Tylenol PM or any other medicine to help you sleep, be careful because most of the time the agent that helps you sleep is an antihistamine, and you don't want to double up. Drink water or something like Gatorade. For the sore throat, you have two options. Most products in pill form that advertise help for a sore throat actually just have Tylenol or ibuprofen (Advil) as the active ingredients. Your other option is a throat-numbing spray or lozenge.
Also, watch out - someone above said to take Sudafed or Actifed. Those are NOT antihistamines, they are decongestants. They will make you more runny/watery, not less.

Fluids and rest are your best bet if you have a cold. Warm fluids will help to thin the nasal congestion. YOu can also take a pain medication like tylenol or motrin for the body aches, and an over the counter antihistamine, like actifed or sudafed for the sneezing and watery eyes. Dayquil has all these meds mixed together, so don't add anything extra to it.

Allergy or cold? If it's an allergy, I think Claritin Reditabs are wonderful. If it's a cold, I don't know.
