My ultrasound is scheduled for November 8th... I will be 17weeks and 2days pregnant. What are the chances of finding out the gender of the baby? I hear people find out at 16 weeks, but others not until like 20 weeks... Thanks for any info.

I found out with my first child (a girl) at 16 weeks, 6 days.
Finding out will probably depend on several factors: the skill of the ultrasound technician, the quality of the u/s equipment being used, and the cooperation of the baby.

I found out what I was having at 17 weeks and 6 days pregnant, so yes, as long as the baby is in the right position, and you have a good technician, then they should be able to tell what you are having! :) Especially if it's a boy...the parts will stand out! My husband told us what we were having before the tech pointed it out, that's how obvious it was, haha!

I wouldn't trust it if they do tell you. And this is just my experience but I'm more prone to believe later ultrasounds myself. At 18 weeks and 2 days with my youngest they said we were having a boy, with two previous daughters we were ecstatic!!! Imagine our surprise when we delivered and the doctor says "IT'S A GIRL!" My husband was so shocked he told the dr. to put it back that it was missing something!!! She'll be three next month and couldn't possibly be loved more, but we were thrown off big time!

It depends on how cooperative junior is. We found out that we were having a boy at 25 weeks.....it took 2 ultra sounds before we could see! the first time he had the umbilical cord wrapped up between his legs and we couldn't tell anything.

oh yeah...you can defiantly tell the gender now. Your plenty far along. They found the gender of my baby at 16 weeks and then confirmed it w/another ultrasound when i was 20 weeks......good luck and congrats!!

That depends on if your baby is cooperating. If he/she is, and you have an experienced tech, you have a good chance of finding out the gender. Good Luck! And Congrats!

I just had mine at 17weeks 3 days and they could tell what I was having.....good luck!

I found out the sex of my baby at fouteen weeks. You will be able to find out as long as baby is willing.

maybe u will i went when i was 18 weeks but the baby was to small
