Maybe the slang developed into a language...gad, that is scary!

The creators of Futurama, while weirdly entertaining, are also highly opinionated. The use of 'aks' instead of 'ask' is their way of saying that they don't have much hope for the future of the human iq.

I wondered if anyone would ever aks that question....

I think it's one of the writers' quirky little details of random human development that make up the lovely funny futurama world.

It future slang. If you listen to Amy, a lot of what she says is future slang such as:
Spluh
Goweesh
Fl'uh
Gu'ck
Globviously and
Guh.
There are tonnes are other ones as well. Aks is just another slang word they use in the future.

Maybe they are making fun of slang terms. They just rearranged the letters to make it sound "cooler". Or it could be a mistake but if it was intentional then maybe they are just making fun of slang. I never would have caught such a thing. Good job.

b/c they did an episode where "ask" was considered outdated lingo like eons ago beofre fry came along and was replaced by
"axe"
its a play on how ghetto people pronounce it "axe"
