I bought a Tom Tom navigator, and my brother borrowed it for a day. he has heard it for a week now and his wife was overhead saying they dont know why i need it coz i barely travel and now she uses it in her car. Why do relatives always think they deserve the good things over others!

It shouldn't matter if they think they deserve good things over other people -- what matters is that it's YOURS and they've taken it!! Lie and say you're taking a trip and need it back... or just flat out tell them that you want it back because it's yours, and you'll be happy to tell them where you purchased yours so they can get their own.

First off : Go to your Brothers house and get you TOM TOM back.

You bought it legally it belongs to you.
Got a receipt?

Second off: You need to assert yourself.

If some one family or not borrowes something you should set a time for it to be returned. If it is not retuned in that time…. Go reclaim your property.
If you can not reclaim it your self. Call the police tell then it was stolen and get it back that way.

Just because you share a blood line does not entitle them to your stuff.

Why don't you just ask for it back? Do you have no say or standing amongst your family? Yes I think I would be mad, mad for them being so arrogant and mad at myself for having to question myself wether to be mad or not, err I'm getting a headache. Sod it, go round there tonight with a brick, do the window, grab the tom tom and leave a little note on the do's and don'ts of borrowing etiquette.

Tell them to give it back. It doesn't matter, if you need it. It's yours.
If they don't give it back, ask for the money it costs.
If they don't pay you, wait a while and borrow something from them. Something you can keep as a hostage. Offer an exchange.

If nothing works, never ever give something to them.

Oh, maybe you should tell your mom. You know how moms can be. And that doesn't change with age...

Get, you navigator back!!!!!!!. You bought that with your money. I don't care if you never used it again. You bought it. Sometimes relatives belief that because you are related that with is yours ,it's mines. They are being very selfish. Relatives and friends think they know what best you and you don't deserve what they desire to have. Also, people who don't have the means to get what you have get jealous.

First tell your brother you'll tell mom. If that doesn't work hand him the receipt and say pay up or give it back. Still not working then do a drive by. Just kidding? Call them up have them come over and steal it back. of coarse after you simply have asked for it back

I dont think that your relatives want to make you mad be using it, because they are probably jealous that you have one. And of course it is your right to be mad because you are the owner of it. But dont flip out on them (at least while it is in thier possesion) because they might never give it back or they wont talk to you again.

Take it back!! If you payed for it, it belongs to you! I don't think you should have let anyone borrow something like that.

Get it back and charge for renting the Tomtom, if you can. That would put the message through.
