be in such a friggin' mess now?

BTW, his visit to N Korea was a personal visit, (not sponsored by the U.S.), but his accomplishments was validated by written communications between the two leaders afterwards. See his new book on the subject and ESPN "Booknotes", Oct 17th.

Was it the govt's on going "non-diplomacy" attitude towards negotiations ("no talk") with a possible enemy, (or can it be bettter defined as just plain old stupidity)?

I know emotions run high, and thanks for all YOUR opinions, but have any of you answerers read his book, or at least seen the taped report last night?

I'd like at least some citations, pls.

Jimmy Carter may have 'negotiated' a deal with North Korea, but they didn't abide by the terms of any agreement they have made.
What good is it to make a deal with someone who doesn't keep their word.
The definition of stupidity is to do the same thing over & over and expect different results.
Why would we negotiate (again) with someone who doesn't abide by existing agreements anyway?

Jimma leaves out the part where NK did not perform to the agreement. Old man Kim (not the son) simply signed and went about his daily routine of starving his people and growing his military. That's all documented!

Carter was just a good ol boy and he'll remain just a good ol boy when history has it's day. The only people that can motivate NK is China. That's a fact!

Carter wouldn't know how to solve a problem if it came with an instruction manuel. personally, i think he was the single most useless president in the history of America. is it any wonder North Korea is in Shambles?
