Do you feel you just want e mail friends? It may be too early to begin another relationship even on a computer. I for one wouldn't mind emails but I am not interested in any kind of a relationship beyond that. I choose to remain single and unattached with no demands and constraints and obligations put on me. If this is cool for you let me know.
