Remember when all of the screw-you-give-me-all-of-your-money-so-I-can-buy-votes politicians were telling us how GREAT social security was? How much better off it is than investing on your own in the stock market? Where are they today?

What imnogeniusbutt is true. However, the Dow closed at 8920.70 the first day AFTER 9/11. It is up 33% since then.

They are in a collective huddle, scheming how they can spend the next 2 years impeaching Bush, salivating over the millions of dollars of taxpayer money they can get their hands on for the sole purpose...

Somewhere, either on the internet, or college professors, these people have been convinced that the Dow is no longer a good indicator of the economy. Remember when the Liberal Democrats said, 'It's the economy, stupid'?? i asked that very question and you wouldn't believe the number of kool-aid drinkers that replied, 'anyone with a high school economics class education 'knows' that the Stock Market is not a good indicator. Well, whether it is or not, they couldn't address the FACT, that that statement was EXACTLY what the dems were singing, just a few short years previously. Incredible that none of them owned up to it. Denial is a river in LaLa Land

Yahoo. The Dow is up 400 points in only 6 1/2 years. That's almost 1/2 percent per year if you ignore inflation. Yahoo lets all retire and eat cat food.

Well what underlying economy is powering the spike? Just because it dosen't go down on some particular date means nothing. Looks like a time to short if I was a risk taker.

do you ever hear about global warming in the winter? when the tides change they will be back.. and it doesn't mean it's not a valid point.. global warming is real year round... you just don't talk about it when you can't see it because the public can't see past the now.
