~If you can't see the relationship in these numbers, you shouldn't be in the class, but at 14 hours, you'll have 1,594,323 germs and at 27 hours there will be 22,876,792,454,961 germs if that helps. Looks like at the end of a single day, you may have a real pandemic on yours hands if the germs are infectuous and lethal, so the math doesn't matter.

5 hours = 243
6 hours = 729

it seems as if the previous is just multiplied by 3
