I know I rarely eat healthy food so I've been taking these pills for the last 3-4 months. I don't bother with those multi-vitamins sort because each specific vitamin content is less than the daily recommendation. I dont follow the RDA though, it's too little .So here's what I take daily instead. Is it ok and will it have an adverse effect on me in the long run or something? That's the real question. I'm too lazy to indicate the dosage for some but it's the amount recommended daily. Thanks for your time!
1) Blackmore's Vit A,C,E ( i cant find Vit A-only ones, C & E here are less than what's recommended daily)
2) Blackmore's Vit E - 500i.u.
3) Blackmore's Fish Oil - 1000mg
4) Nature's Way 's Vit B
5) Ocean Health's Buffered C -1000mg
6) Biloba Gingko - so I can remember to check for your answers here?

Hey, this way leads disaster!!

Vitamin pills cannot, repeat, CANNOT, replace the nutrients you need from good fresh food. It is not just vitamins but a whole host of trace elements that your body needs. Neither can it mitigate against all the bad things you are ingesting from eating fast or processed food. The eating habits you hint at will inevitably lead to problems in middle age if not before! By problems I mean the much increased risk of heart attack or stroke!!!!

Taking that amount of vitamins also suggests that at some point they will cause at least side effects to appear. Taking those amounts regularly is likely to cause an overdose at some point. This in itself tends to manifest as high blood pressure or depression. Coupled with the high cholestrol you will have by then will not present a very optimistic picture!!

Save your money - healthy food can be quick and easy to prepare and is much cheaper than fast or processed food.

You really only need a good multi vitamin a day. Taking a bunch of extra vitamins isn't going to do anything for you and could actually be harmful. Eat a good balanced diet and drink alot of water.

I would also include CLA or ALA in there. I get mine with the Omega 3's (put together into one pill) I also take Chromium as well.

I like to also take cranberry pills and acidophilus too.
