I've been to WDW many times but never stayed at this resort. Any info would be appreciated.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground does not have rooms, it has cabins and camp sites. It's a nice Resort with a lot of outdoor recreation available. If you don't enjoy leaving the comfort of home, this would be your best Resort choice at Walt Disney World. You can rent a cabin and bring whatever you want from home, or you can bring your RV. You can even bring your pets if you or they have bad separation anxiety. Since the Resort is located in the woods, you very likely will not have any view of the fireworks, however, you may be able to view them from the Resort's beach. Also, the Resort offers horse-drawn wagon rides, and sometimes special fireworks rides.

Now, Disney's Wilderness Lodge (if you were mistaken, as the other person suggested) is located nearby and has rooms. There's also no rooms with a view of the fireworks at the Wilderness Lodge (there used to be when the Resort first opened, but the trees have grown to be very tall and block the view.) There's a view of the fireworks from the Lodge's boating dock.

My fiance used to work at the Wilderness Lodge. There only a handfull of rooms that have a partial view of the Magic Kingdom. I think that they are up on the concierge levels, which are the highest two floors in the resort. When you make your reservation, or when you get there, you could request to have one of those rooms, but they are usually not available. But the view of the pool and lake is also very nice. You might have a better chance getting a room with that view.

The Fort Wilderness Lodge has a small handful of rooms which look toward the Magic Kingdom. When making your reservations, ask the Disney reservation specialist if it would be possible to get a room that looks out at the Magic Kingdom. They will be happy to help you if any are available. If none are on that side, I recommend getting a room which overlooks the pool area.

Fort Wilderness indeed is a campground, a nice one I might add. They do have trailer homes decked out like cabins, but a trailer is a trailer is a trailer. Becuase the campground if wooded, views of the fireworks will be limited.
