And it looks really natural. How do film people 'cut' the bodies of people with ok heights and make them look like a MIDGET.

It makes me wonder, really!!!
How do they do it? Any ideas?

A technique called Forced Perspective. Look at the bonus disc on Fellowship Of the Rings for an explanation.

I'm thinking trick photography and angles probably has a lot to do with it. One of my favorites is Martin Short as the 10 yr old Clifford :o)

What I wondered when I saw Anupam Kher in Jaan-e-maan is, do you have no midgets in India? That's akin to dressing him up and having him pretend to be a different ethnicity.

if i m not wrong u r taking about anupam kher.in movie jan-a-man.right. he is walking on his knees after the complete shooting of movie.the director cut his legs in movie with special effect ,s when they shoot .anupam walks on knees.

some do it by the use of editing that part of movie ....
some do it by duplicte facing and some just do it wd the help of duplicating
