Heater cores are a ***** to replace and very labor intensive. They have to actually remove the whole damn dashboard and all the heater ducts. Still, $2400.00 seems like alot. I'd check around to several shops and repair stations and get other prices.

Some shops just don't want to deal with the whole issue so they charge alot of $$$ to do the job hoping you'll go elsewhere.

That's crazy. It's about a four hour job. There are probably enough MB drivers that just pay whatever they ask, they don't have any need to give you an honest quote.

Call Pep Boys we'll do it cheaper than that! ... this is why we do oil changes, batteries and head lights on Corvette's and other top end vehicles because dealers and private shops charge out the @ss!
