I was watching the movie "Arthur" last night and in the movie he mentions naming a child Vladimir--even if it was a girl. What do you think of that name for a boy or a girl? I was thinking it would be kind of cute on a girl. Her nickname could be Miri (Meer-ee) or Ladi (Lad-ee). What do you think? By the way, "Arthur" is probably my favorite movie of all time..if it wasn't then I wouldn't ever consider it. What do you think?

I love that name...for a boy. I wanted to name my son Vladimir, but my fiance said no way. We then decided on Preston, which I love just as much...but I still like Vladimir, lol.

I don't particularly like it for a girl. It's too masculine for a girl...

I personally believe that only you can decide what name suits your child. Its all about personal preference. Personally, I don't like the name, but that is probably because I'm of slavic ethnicity and I hear the name all the time.

Or she could be called "Vlad the impaler" which is what they called Count Dracula...because he had his enemies impaled on spears that lined the roadway to his castle.
