I have it too and boy, it can be bothersome. I wear hearing aids and that doesn't help it either, since it restricts airflow. When they get really itchy and I have got to do something I take a Qtip and put the end in a bottle of tea tree oil, squeeze out any excess from the cotton tip, and put it in my ear and turn to cover the inside of my ear. There is a funny sensation, and sometimes a little burning, but it does the trick for me. If you want, you can dilute the tea tree oil first, in some almond oil, or similar food oil. Don't use mineral oil. I don't dilute it and have been using it for over a year.
The reason for the itchy is the dry skin inside them. I also put hand cream on the end of a QTip and apply the same way I do the tea tree oil. The tea tree oil does work better on the itch, however, and it helps to expel a lot of the dry skin in there.
Hope this helps resolve your problem.

In the King James version of the Bible, 2 Tomothy 4:3 contains a reference to people having "itching ears". Go to www.biblegateway.com and enter the search word "itching".

i only know that if someone is talking about you, you have itchy ears...left for love, right for spite. the itchy tongue and head ache could be the start of a cold. i know that that was no use but at least i can now wish you get better.
