it depends on which type of duel monsters ur looking at yugioh
or actually the thing call ed '' duel monsters''

Do I have to explain? Draw Phase: Draw a card and if you can't, you lose. Some cards also activate during this step and during the Standby Phase. Main Phase: Summon monster in Attack or set mode. Activate or set Spell and Trap cards. Battle Phase: Monsters compare scores and higher wins and cards can activate. End Phase: Discard until you have 6. That's a simple intro. to the game of Duel Monsters.

its preety complex, it mtakes time 2 learn how 2 play well but its not inpossible, It would b too hard 4 me 2 explain it so you can buy a structure deck, thats a good start, then you will chek the rule book if it comes with it the go 2 yugioh-card.com for more information, bu if you never play it with some 1 ull never learn, so try 2 find some1 who plays it well, that person will guide u as u play ok? good luck pal ;)

usually when you buy a box of cards there's a manual and it tells u everything. I can't explain it because its too complex
