Resident Evil 5 is expected to be released sometime in 2007 and possibly before March 31st, 2007.

There doesn't seem to be a reliable release date but I would hazard a guess of round about the time of release of the third film 'Extinction' which has yet to start filming. Also, as it's being released on both PS3 & Xbox 360 you're going to be looking at least a late spring/summer release in the UK. In other words when those Umbrella guys are ready to release it. (They DO exist you know!)
