I got this used computer. And when i turn on the computer it reads error no operating system. but someone told me to install windows xp but i have a promblem the computer doesnt have a cdrom with it. so i dont know what to do. can anyone help me please.

Yes, you definitely need a CD ROM. Do you know anyone who has an external one you can borrow just to load the disc? Or search around for a cheap used one.

Easiest and cheapest option:

Buy a $20 CD-ROM drive and install it.

Insert XP CD in it, and start the computer.

Install XP.

Buy an optical drive and connect it. They really dont cost much these days, and most computers arn't particularly useful without them.

you'll have to buy an operating system to put on it. just make sure you get the full version and not the upgrade version.

well you would need to go buy a cd-rom drive then install it or have bestbuy geek squad install it.
