When my sister died she left me $4,000, I was 12 at the time so my mom put the money in the bank with my niecie money under her name. And now that my niece is going to get her money I want my share.

If you were age 12 at the time your sister died, you weren't eligible to take possession of the money, as you were a minor. Your mother held it in custody for you.

If you are now the age of majority (18 in most states), you may be entitled to the money. You should first ask your mother. If that doesn't work, you will need to hire an attorney who does probate law. They can advise you on the inheritance rights that you have, and can properly advise on how any monies would have been accounted for.

If you need an attorney and don't know one, contact your state or local bar association.

after bank fees are taken out youll be lucky to get anything
