I think if a woman wants to abort she should have the right to do so. In many countries where abortion is illegal women still find a way to do it risking their own lives. I don't want any woman from my family to have to go through a back alley abortion because the government though abortion is immoral. I'm a fiscal conservative and for this same reason I believe the federal government should not intervene. I have never understood the people that say abortions are wrong but it's okay when it comes from rape or incest. If they think it's a baby then they shouldn't care how it was conceived. No. I do believe, however, that it is fallacious to make public policy based on rare exceptions...

I believe that if abortion were made illegal, a medical carve-out should accompany the legislation...

I am RABIDLY pro-life, btw... And Neddie, I have never had an abortion... I do have a best friend with a child that was the product of a rape by a non-white American, however, and she loves her child dearly...

Keep telling yourself everyone is doing it, and maybe you'll feel better about it...

I simply believe these exceptions are a red herring...

I'm a guy and I believe strongly that abortions when regarded as an alternative contraceptive method are immoral. All other abortions are probably legitimate on a case by case basis.

No, the only ones I think are immoral are partial-birth abortions.
Otherwise, a woman has a right to decide what goes on with her body, just as men do.

I am honestly very conflicted about this issue, and the only thing I am certain of is that late term abortions should be completely abolished except to save the life of the mother.

No. And the ones that do obviously have never been victims of rape and incest. And until they have been, they have no right to make judgements on other people's choices.

Two wrongs do not make a right. As difficult as it would be for a rape or incest victim to carry a child to term, I believe teh emotional and mental anguish of killing that child would be greater.

No, I beleive forcing a woman to go through pregnancy is immoral.
If men had babies this wouldnt even be an issue, abortion would be legal. They would never go through it. Anti Abortion is about controlling women.
