I have a Japenese Maple that is at least 6 yrs old, and it has never produced those little helicopter seeds until this year, now i have them everywhere, how can i grow trees from these seeds, please be specific.

It doesn't take much for maples to germinate. We've got an old rock maple in the front yard, and every year I pull about 200 volunteer spouts out of the flower bed.

Dump them on fertile ground that gets moisture and let nature take it's course.

You dont even have to try and those little helicopters will sprout almost any place they land that has good soil, water and sunshine. I pull the starts and either dispose of them or replant them in more suitable places.

just plant and they will grow like weeds. the seeds that fall will grow on their own if on soil and you can dig the little trees up and plant where you want them
