I think they should be allowed to marry so they can have the same marital privilages and they can be as miserable as heterosexuals. If not then everytime a married person commits adultery they should have their marital privilages terminated.
Why are we discriminating against these people who simply love somebody and want to marry them. Our government is getting involved with the church in this issue when it is clear that we are to separate the two. Our government officials do it to garner votes, while they play with peoples lives.
I don't understand why these church people are so filled with hate when God commands us to love one another. They are the biggest hypocrites and is why I won't go to church. The churches are filled with men and women who are so sexually repressed that the men the biggest users of porn and hookers. But you don't hear the preacher preach about men and porn and hookers and how that is destroying families. That is the real threat to families. These hypocrites won't get real. The deseases these men bring home is the real danger to the family not gays getting married. But the stupid wives have their heads up their ***, and since the bible doesn't allow divorce and most don't work and depend on the man to support them and the kids they feel stuck. They have become whores depending on a man to take care of them.

I have a problem with public display of affection. With that being said I have no problem with gay or lesbian marriages as long as they keep the PDA in the house or where no one can see them. I hold hands and maybe put my arm around my wife but other then that I do not kiss, hug, or make out with my wife in public. That is an intimate thing with my wife and I, that I prefer no one else see that has no business being in my business.

The only objections to gay marriage are religious, and that is not universal. Many religions support gay marriage, and since the US constitution prevents favoring one religion over another, it follows that gay civil marriage should be allowed.

Gay marriages are now available in several European countries, will soon be allowed in South Africa, and in the USA are allowed in Massachusetts. Civil unions are allowed in Vermont & Connecticut, and California, DC, Maine, Hawaii, & New Jersey allow for registration of domestic partnerships. Progress toward civil unions or same-sex marriage is being made in New York, Rhode Island, New Mexico, and Maryland.

This is a hard question, cause at one angle you want people to be happy and live there lifes but at another angle you want it to remain the way its been men marry women and women marry men and they have kids but now its the gays and lesbians are taking over because they feel as though they should be able to fall in love with whoever and marry whoever its discusting.

Well, I personally may not agree with their lifestyle, but I do think that they should have the right to pursue whatever lifestyle they choose in the US, as long as nobody else is harmed by it (and nobody is harmed by Gay/lesbian marriages). That doesnt mean I think its right- I just believe that Americans should be free to make their own decisions.

The same thing I think about straight marriages or relationships. They are not really that different.

It is important to seperate the civil and religious aspect. Any religion has the right to think any way they want to about this and not perform same sex marriage.

But civilly and legally all a marriage is, is a civil union. Same sex relationships and families do exist--whether some people like it or not. They have children and own property. It is stupid to deny the reality. They should be recognized as some type of legal entity.

Since we love to play word games these days I guess if people want to call them civil unions that is fine.\

People who have a problem with it piss me off. I don't see how other peoples live affect mine, so I think that so long as it makes them happy, other people should just shut the hell up and go back to their own lives. some of my friends are gay and I see how people treat them and talk to them like they are dirt, but the people who make fun of them are soooooo much worse in my eyes. Everyone should be free to love whoever they want, why does the state try to stop it?

I think that love is beautiful. I hug and kiss my husband and hold his hand in public. When I see other people do it it makes me very happy - old people, young people, gay people, and straight people. Love is a force to be supported, not attacked.

The same sort of religious people who beat me as a child for not being Christian wish to force all love that doesn't meet their standards into hiding. I think it's wrong to persecute consenting adults for loving each other.
