Just wanted you all to know, a baby boy is considered full term at 39 weeks, why else would they stop efforts to stop contractions at 36 weeks?

You can simply tell him that you are very uncomfortable and would like to go ahead with delivery. You do need to keep in mind that your doc is going to make the decision that is best for your baby and you should be trying to do this too. You don't want your baby to come before it is ready. Also, inducing labor increases your chances of having to have a C-section (quite dramatically actually). If you are wanting to have it early bc you want to go on a trip or something, you need to stop and think. First, it is selfish and Second, you won't be recovered by the next week anyway so you still can't go! If you want a specific birthday for your child, well - you just better hope your lucky right? Try to think about what is best for your baby. You can certainly ask your doc to induce you, but don't be surprised if he or she refuses...

Inducing labor before full term is probably not a good idea for the health of your child. I was born prematurely at 32weeks and was severly underweight and had to be in an incubator and the NICU for 4 months after my birth. Luckily, I didn't depvelop any serious long term problems from being born early, I'm of a higher intelligence, and a normal weight and size. Although, many are not so lucky. I've known many people to lose their children, and many more have had many problems due to a premature birth.

If you call for it...he MIGHT. But you fairly do not wish to be caused given that plenty of the time it does not figure out and also you emerge as in a C-phase. It's nice to only allow nature do it is paintings. I requested my document to urge me from 39 weeks on....I ended up having her at forty two weeks and it was once the simplest, fastest exertions ever! I simply had her December eighth! I love her to loss of life and I'm completely happy I did not set off....it is bigger her and I are each ok..the final factor I desired was once a c-phase.

Are you diabetic? =) I'm a type 1 diabetic ... that's why I was able to be induced for both of my children. But, don't make up any as it isn't really good for the baby to come early. He/she come when they are ready... not a minute sooner or later. The reason they induce a lot of diabetics is because the baby can get really big... so it's safer for both the mother and baby to induce it. Anyways, good luck to you and your baby(s)!! =D

No. What a silly idea. As long as the baby is not in distress, then it is MUCH better for it to occur naturally.

If you go way over your due date (like 2 weeks), then they will probably induce you.

Start walking or having sex that is said to induce labor.

Just talk to your doctor about delivering the baby.

Let your body do it naturally....I don't know what number baby this is for you, but being induced increases your risk for a c-section, which carries more risks and a longer recovery....be patient!!

Do you realize that you would be putting yourself & baby in unnessecary risk if this procedure is not needed. What could be more important than the well being of your unborn child?

why would you want to force that innocent baby out into the world before it is fully developed and ready to start it's new life?????????
Let the baby decide when it's time for birth.

Don't be a retard. Retards often die young, if you catch my drift. That's my professional opinion, btw. Ask your doctor. He will probably say exactly the same thing, laced with liberal amounts of profanity and yelling.
