I'm 34 weeks preggo with my second baby it's a girl this time and we don't have anything left from having our son b/c we weren't planning on having any more children soon. I am trying to find out what are some products or even brand names that people just can't live without. My Mother in Law bought us the cradle swing and bassinet already. But besides that I haven't gotten any big items. So what products could you guys not live without? Heck and what products would you suggest for me to stay away from.
Thanks...

I loved the bassinet we had next to the bed.
If your bottle feeding , bottled water and bottles
next to the bed so you don't have to get up. I wish someone
would have told me this trick two years ago.
Lots of PJ's (sleepers). Diapers diapers diapers.
Baby bjorn (snuggly).
Wipe warmer. They are too cold left at room temperature
during the night. Makes baby jump and fully wake up.

-Crib after about 2 mos.
-Bassinet for the 1st 2 months, so that the baby can be near you.
-Bouncy seat is a must. This was my best friend for the first 5 mos. of my daughter's life.
-Carseat
-Stroller w/infant seat
-Enough onesies
-Bibs
-Warm blankets
-Swing
-of course the obvious (diapers, wipes, bottles, etc.)

I found the boppy pillow to be a waste of money. You don't need a bottle warmer or a wipe warmer either in my opinion.

My kids LOVED the swing. It helped SO MUCH with keeping the newborn happy while I was attending to the toddlers.

Pacifiers help, too. The babies need to suck to get rid of stress.

That's the basics. I also loved the play gyms that they lie under. Kept them happy while I was changing someone elses' diaper or helping them on the potty!! Good luck and congrats!!

1) I couldn't have lived without the Bumbo Baby Sitter. I had twins who constantly wanted to be in my arms - this seat gave me a break -http://www.brightideasbaby.com/Scripts/product_bumbo.asp

2) Fisher Price Jumperoo - http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=2011&e=detail&pid=27465 - This kept the twins busy for hours and was good exercise for the little dudes!

3) Prince Lionheart wipe warmer - my dudes didn't like having cold wipes - this saved us from stress and noise of screaming in mid night changes - http://www.princelionheart.com/site/n_bc_0231.html

Boppy pillow
breast pads (I prefer the washable ones)
Lansinoh cream
Hyland's Teething Tablets
sling
bouncy seat - a simple one is fine, it doesn't need all those bells and whistles on it
car seat
tons of burp cloths
natural oil, like olive oil or almond oil, to put on baby's bottom in the first few days - keeps meconium from sticking!
big, thick pads for mom post-partum - soak them with witch hazel and freeze them for your sore bottom

My son LOVED his ~JUMP A ROO~.....it is a new version of the Johnny jump up thing....He loved to bounce and play the sounds. It kept him busy just long enough for me to get a few chores done around the house every afternoon.....And every other baby that I know that has one loves it as well!
