I love this one, but it involves some work.

First, you need to find a matchbox, a piece of cardboard, rubberbands or hair elastics, a coin and a ball of yarn. And a sheet of different little stickers. Cut the cardboard so it makes a little slide into the matchbox. If you are using a penny, it should be penny-wide, with edges that are slightly higher than a penny, and about three inches longer than your matchbox.

Fit the slide into the matchbox, and then put the elastic around both sides of the matchbox, so the matchbox will snap shut when you remove the slide.

Wrap the yarn around the matchbox, making sure that you can still put the penny down the slide.

Now, find your audience. Ask one person to give you a penny, and another person to put a sticker on the penny. Now, distract your audience -- you can do another magic trick to make the penny disappear, or you can just talk to them. Meanwhile, the ball of yarn is hidden in your pocket or under the table or something, and you slide the penny into the slide, then remove the slide. The penny is trapped in the matchbox inside the ball of yarn.

When you are done distracting them, bring out the ball of yarn. Have someone else hold it, and tell them they will find the penny inside. If you have two people in the audience, one of them can unwind the yarn. They will be amazed to find that the penny has gotten into this rubber-banded box in the middle of a ball of yarn!

I wish I could find the site where I first found this trick, but it's really simple and quite amazing!

Buy a svengali deck online. Half the cards are normal, the other half are just a bit shorter and all the same card; mine is the nine of hearts. One of the tricks in the instruction booklet is cutting the deck, shuffling it and the nine of hearts is always there at your fingertips and also always on top of the deck
