How do you dance at middle school dances?

hey my first dance is on Tues. 24 and i really need some tips!!!!! plus i'm going w/ my boyfriend and i don't want to make a fool of myself. PLEASE HELP!!!!! oh yeah and i really need help on the whole dancing area!!!! thank you!!!!
