We ask that same question here in the UK too, all for publicity i suppose why else would she do it....Sorry i cant stand the woman.

If you think about it... Africa has a higher infection rate of most STDs than the USA, their economy struggles more, they have a much poorer rate of employment, and the children there are poorly fed and bathed. In the USA, children have a chance higher than that in Africa to succeed, become employed and educated, and mildly less likely to get ill or infected by diseases. There are medications and sciences available to the orphans in America that there are not in Africa. I believe overall, Madonna was attempting to do the largest and most effective of a good deed that she could. Saving a life of an American child is one thing, but saving the life of an African child from both starvation and from homelessness is dually effective. I applaud her!

Because she's a celebrity, and adopting little foreign babies is the "In" thing to do.
Plus, it's easier and cheaper to adopt a foreign kid than an American kid.

Because she saw the publicity that Angelina got out of it and because it made her look good. She wasn't thinking of the child. It was all for the publicity.
