Has been dying on me lately, usually when stopped at a stop sign or traffic light.Have had it to the mechanic twice.First time they couldn't find a problem and said maybe it was vapor locked,it was very hot that day, they also suggested changing the fuel filter, which I did.Now I just had it in again because it died on me at a stop light.Again they can't find a problem, they tested the fuel pump and said it had sufficient pressure. Each time it has died it will start back up after about a half hour or so.I drive it very infrequently, should I maybe run the gas down and put new in?I haven't gotten gas in it for a few months.Any suggestions?

There are several items that can cause this condition with your little Jeep.
The three MOST COMMON are that the throttle body needs cleaning. It may be coked enough to cause a disruption in the air flow at idle, but shouldn't cause a hard restart after the stall.
The MOST EXPENSIVE is that the PCM has or is failing, and causes injector trigger failure. When it cools down, it functions normally.
The MOST LIKELY cause is a failing crank sensor. This is a known weak point with Jeep, and many of them have been replaced for this cause.
I don't know if you plan doing the repair yourself, but it is MY recommendation that if you do, BEFORE replacing anything, follow proper diagnostics for each of the possible failures to avoid unnecessary expense, effort and frustration.

Good Luck

you should drain that gas and put in new. You could have water in the fuel or it could have soured. Remove the fuel line pre filter and let it drain out. If you drive it infrequently then keep the gas tank full and put stabil or some similar product in the tank.

IRONHAND one sharp fella. NEVER replace ANY part till you know the problem. RUN, don't walk, from any "mechanic" who says "I don't know whats wrong but we will change the (whatever) and see if that works. Find you another shop. Some body must know how to diagnose problems.Remember not all trouble codes turn on the check engine light. I don't know if 94 has obd.
