Okay, i need to know about his background, why he was such a great president, who impacted him, where his was from and all, in which time did he serve, just to name a few. I am almost done with the project but I think that it would do some good to get a few other views and information to make the assignment completely accurate.
Thanx.

a. he was not really a great president, sorta a non active one, no one really hated him but no one really loved him either.

He is a great man though I know him perosnally. He attended GA TECH in Atlanta GA and is still active with the school and attends many events there

He is very very active in things now and could be considered one of the greated retired presidents.

Even after being president he still taught sunday school at his local baptist church

And the very best thing he talked to all people equally, he loves people, he would talk to the greeter at Walmart in the same manner and respect he would the leader of China, we is just great about that.

He often ( because most people don't reconise him) with very little security and will attend alot of events just as a regular person in the crowd.

I had one of the greatest honors of my life to be assigned on a temp basis while he was in Atlatna as part of his body guard staff some years ago.

I would suggest you use your computer a little more wisely. All the information you need can be found. It's like life itself, don't expect someone to 'give' you the answer. Do your research. In doing so you will have accomplished a few things. One of those
'things' I'm referring to is the insight to make your own conclusion. We, as a society, have not raised to generation, in which you are a member, to seek the answers. If you are to grow
you must read, learn and remember what the past has shown.
It's the liberals that want you spoon feed. That is how they are running the educational system these days. 'Rely on your government, we will tell you what to think. ' Look at the system, they are rewriting history to suit thier vision of what happened, regardless of the FACTs. President Carter was NOT a GREAT
leader, .......again do your research.

You want different views... here's mine: Jimmy Carter wasn't as bad as he is cracked up to be. He just got dealt a bad hand and had to deal with it. Any president in the office at that time would have had to deal with the terrorist issue. There are theories to suggest that a deal was made to release the terrorists when Reagan came in to office to make him look good. I am not saying I believe that-just that it has been raised. Actually, Carter has done more good in the world since leaving the Presidency through his work with Habitat For Humanity and his diplomacy. Carter was a good man in a political game where good men get eaten alive.

I have to agree with the other answers - he wasn't such a great president, but bringing together Anwar Sadat and Menachem Began was pretty good. He has done great things since leaving office. Winning the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 is just one of them. See: http://cartercenter.org/homepage.html for more.

I campaigned for Jimmy Carter, it was the last time I ever voted for a democrat. He was the absolute wost president in US history. Inflation hit the roof, the misery index was off the charts, unemployment was the highest it has ever been (even compared to the great depression). How thankful I was for Ronald Reagan.
